Back (yet again)

I m back (yet again) after my long hiatus.....Things had become a bit trying and there the toughest enemy to fight is self doubt.....esp when your loved ones doubt you and when you no longer rely on the advice of people you have always looked up to......
But, as Kipling says, "If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But allowance for their doubting too.....IF neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but non too much......"
So, i realize that just withdrawing has never solved anything in life and if i am living it, i might as well enjoy it!

Somehow, i came across a soft copy of 'Little Women' a book i had read as a child....i started reading it for tp but i was not able to proceed after Jo refuses Laurie.....For a little background, Jo is one of the heroines - a proper tomboy who doesn't care for the society which enforces a strict code of conduct on the female members, who loves reading and later writing and who befriends the hero, Laurie and fills his world with light....both are of similar nature, quick to fight and love boyish fun.....It was upsetting to see that things din't work out for them.....
I think now it is easier to bear a broken heart in real life, but in books, where my dream world still exists, it is difficult to see a young heart broken, a first love which changed so much to get its object, lying shattered. I think i m getting too sentimental for no reason! But, i would have loved to see Jo marry Laurie and this is the first time in my life where i will deliberately not finish a book....If i dont read ahead, i can always have the possibility in my imagination that Jo realizes that she loves him and they live happily, of course, ever after!

Planning a trip to hyd. next weekend. Details later.
