i have sadly out of touch with my blog...a very apt instance of how we get bogged down with day to day living such that simple pleasures start getting separated and ultimately divorced one by one....well nothing very happening on my side which made me absent for such a long time...just that i have been staying at my cousin sister's place at ghaziabad for the past week - which has made me experience the pains of dial-up....Office has been reaaaaally hectic and i really dont know if my report will ever be finished and i will be able to do the perfect "analysis" which is more of my boss's dream than mine !!!
well life for me has become very different and i am doing a much more challenging job than meeting MBA deadlines and doing financial analysis of the media industry - u wont be able to guess it - its caring for kids...kids as in real small kids....kids as in 1.25 years and 3 years old and if u thot dealing with one kid was hell then i can assure u that 2 kids that age are better than heaven and worse than hell at the same time
its real fun playing their games with them but the fun becomes nightmare as soon as you try to get some work done....one of them runs off with my phone and as soon as i go after him, the younger one gets the chance he is waiting for and starts jumping on my laptop and poking at the screen. One fine day i woke up to find my cellphone missing from my bed and i finally found it lying somewhere soaked in water !! the poor phone was not able to work for one full day and when i scolded the elder one for putting it in water, he smartly says "pani mein nahi dala tha, basin mein dala tha" !!!!
their refreshing innocence will make you feel sometimes that life is worth living after all...the elder one, apoorv, loves watching tom and jerry cartoons and whenever he sees my laptop, he starts demanding ki "mausi tom dekhoonga". Once i had some important work to do and it was quite late so i told him ki, " abhi kaise dekhoge, tom to so gaya hai", so now he always first asks "mausi tom so gaya hai? abhi to jaga hoga? " and patiently accepts my answer, never once thinking of waking tom up !!!! he needs to talk mandatorily if somebody is on the phone and the standard question the person at the other end gets asked is "tum kab laut aaoge?".....one wonderful scene is when he seats his younger brother, aditya, or miu as he is called by apoorv, on his toy car and pushes him around the house.
and if one of them is crying and after sometime i ask ki "kaun ro raha tha", apoorv is quick to say "woh to miu tha, main nahi rota hoon" ......well the list goes on and on and on....i am not able to get any work done at home and my report haunts me every night after they sleep off;and i have had my quota of kids for a lifetime; but every moment spent with them is more precious and memorable than a thousand reports i might write in the future......
