WEEKEND REVIEW.....

hmmm....the weekend is finally here...and today i complete 5 weeks of my training...only 3 more to go and then by month end i will have only 9 months more to while away to complete my course. i dont know why i am so eager to finish this off....a number of things i guess...first obviously coz i think it was not such a great idea in the first place ( and ya i dont regret my decisions...just want to move ahead in life and get this done with..); the second most important reason is that i HATE this place and the weather doesnt help things much. this is really an anticlimax after pune ( no intentions to hurt the delhites...everybody loves their hometown and i find myself an impartial observer since i belong to nowhere )...u need to have a big heart to love this place and i guess that's why its called dillwalo ki dilli. minimum distances are 20-25 kms and with the traffice it becomes more than an hour....in pune i used to go right across the city in 1 hour....and the weather...in winter smtms i used to wear 2 pairs of socks just for that xtra bit of warmth and now i am ready to spend the day in the CC just for the AC....

another important thing is that i feel compelled to move on from a place/thing if i feel it has stopped adding value...i have so much to do in life and i cant afford to waste the most productive years of my life....but yes though the road is long and hard, and i must make haste to reach home by evening but i will never forget to stop and smell the roses on the wayside :-)

well i dont think that the course has stopped adding value...maybe its more of my fault !!! actually the course is structured in such a way that we waste a lot of time on useless non productive things....and though freshers might not feel the importance....work ex ppl do !! i say this coz i have come to appreciate these things only after working for 2 years in the industry...when i joined as a fresher i also used to love surfing uselessly and lengthening my workday unnecessarily. i think i shud make more of an effort to do more value additions to myself...but i am too lazy and remain contented with blaming the system.

there is something in my life which has made me a nomad....in recent years the longest i have lived at a place (after leaving dhanbad in 1992) was in surat during my engg days. i wonder how will it be to live in one place for years and years....well i am looking forward to finishing the course, hopefully get a posting in pune and settle in domestic life with my dad !!

the week was really cool with me working from room two days in a row. wednesday i dint go as a lot of exchange related stuff was pending and we need to send the forms by 15th. slept very late that day and had a tuf time getting up the next day and getting ready....and then came to know that nobody from the gurgaon gang was going...so i also changed bak and went off to sleep :-) some small things delay the big picture such a lot...wednesday we cudnt finish off with transcripts as the PGP office somehow missed making the transcript of one of us...thursday i had to make 5 trips to the office as the single doc was lying in the chairman's office...finally i got all the docs at around 5.30 and then there was some prob in the scanner...had to restart the computer 3 times while scanning 8 pages.

my target is to courier all the stuff tomo...lets hope i achieve it...

wishing everybody a great weekend

CHEERS !!!!

First comment nice blog!
I was searching for the bolg that talks about Pune traffic and I found your blog. I'm living in pune since my birth.. and my great grand parents are also from pune. These days every year 60,000+ students come to pune for learning and 50% of them settle in Pune. If you look at the current traffice in Pune... its worst than any city in India. The days where I used to reach from one place to another in just 15-20 min have started taking 1 hr+ Its not only students but lot of IT companies have come here and because of them the population has grown up. There is very little Pune people can now do about it.
Now I feel sometime sad when I look at the city... the roads like Bhandarkar road where we used to play cricket while going back home after the school, is now over crowded and there is hardely any room for people to walk!
A time has come just like original Mumbaikars to move out of city? May be yes... the real Punekar are really missing the peace they enjoyed 10-15 years back.
