Last sunday i had gone to Ozone shopping mall....I had gone there for no specific purpose - just for a change of mood - and to while away the time i reached the top most floor which had home linen, curtains etc sections and hence not very busy.....the stairs were also a bit dark and empty. While coming back, i missed a step and fell....somehow i landed upright a few steps down but the downslide continued as i had not been able to regain my balance. after a slide down a few more steps, i somehow managed to regain footing, balance and breath. i escaped what could have been a major blow to the foot/waist/hands with just a blow to the heels...since i was alone and the stairs were dark, noone would have come immediately......those 10 seconds i could see myself falling and getting hurt...the pain in my waist had actually started in my mind!
A couple of days later, I was coming out of the gym on my bike. The building housing my gym has a basement parking with very steep entry and exit ways which though a bit scary by themselves become dragons with the rains making them slippery. While i was coming up the slope, the wheel of my bike swerved and the bike did a sort of drunken dance with me for 6-7 seconds before righting itself luckily....Again, i escaped what could have been a major excited with just a fright to my confidence......And again, during those 6 seconds i could see the wheel wobbling and the bike not being able to cope!
They say that bad luck comes in threes (btw why does good luck not come in threes? or maybe it does - do we acknowledge/appreciate good luck to keep a track of it - or simply take it for granted?)....so i felt sure that a third thing would happen....the worst part in the two incidents was that while they were happening, it felt as if i was just an onlooker and seeing the whole thing in slow motion....tuesday onwards i spent each moment expecting a disaster any moment....but i am still waiting!
there are moments when i feel i should fall down in my lift/bus deliberately just to complete the jinx........
after all, it is said that people are only as good/bad as you expect of them......

The Jinx of three..can figure out the anticipation - I have also had "twice failed" experience that keeps getting my antenna up at any possible 3rd situation!!
But yes...Take care PLss
I may have stopped loving you but I haven't stopped loving the days I loved you......
It makes me remember a song by Richard Marx:
And I will always be
Better for you loving me
Better for the times we shared
That travel with me everywhere
Cheers!
